Diffoniq is the next generation of WDiff32, a Windows tool for seeing what changed. It displays two text files, two folders or two archives side by side. Common and different sections are clearly marked, differences are highlighted line by line, and you can jump from one difference to the next. Changes can be taken over from one side to the other by drag and drop, and the edited file saved.

Archives are treated like folders: ZIP, 7-Zip, RAR, tar (also compressed), CAB and ISO files open like a directory and compare like one, including an archive inside an archive, to any depth. Nothing has to be extracted first.

Version 2.0 adds full Unicode support (UTF-8 and UTF-16 files, international file names), folder synchronisation, comparison reports, and detection of renamed and moved files. Diffoniq can also serve as the diff viewer of another program, such as a version control client.

Diffoniq is a native Windows application with no account and no cloud. Licences are signed offline licence files with no online activation. Registered users of WDiff32 receive a free Diffoniq 2.x licence. The evaluation version is the complete program for 30 days.
