Das Terminalprogramm kann grundsätzlich entweder mit einem oder mit zwei verschiedenen seriellen Ports gleichzeitig arbeiten. Im folgenden werden diese Ports mit A und B bezeichnet. Drei Betriebsmodi sind möglich: - Single-Port-Mode: Aufzeichnung der Daten entweder von A oder B - Dual-Port-Mode: (Unabhängige) Aufzeichnung der Daten von A und B. Die Datenrichtung kann dabei auf beiden Ports unterschiedlich sein.
