LMP2 ist ein Media Player im von Star Trek genutzen LCARS-Interface mit einer großen Anzahl an unterstützten Dateiformaten (AVI, MID, WAV, MP3, MPEG, Quicktime-Movies, Real Medias, AIF, ...). Des weiteren hat er eine Playlist-Funktion integriert, so dass er vollautomatisch Ihre Lieblingsdateien abspielt, und das nicht nur nach einer von Ihnen vorgegebenen Reihenfolge, da er auch shufflen (Dateien nach Zufallsrythmus abspielen) kann.
