Möchte man unter Windows ein Programm mit Optionen (Parametern) starten, ist dies recht umständlich. Diesem möchte Kommandozeile entgegen wirken. Kommandozeile wird ins Windows Explorer-Kontextmenü von Programmen eingebunden, und kann direkt von dort gestartet werden. Weiterhin kann bei Konsolenprogrammen der Textoutput in eine Datei umgeleitet werden, der Fensterstatus beim Programmstart kann gewählt werden.
