Mit DUN-Backup können die Einstellungen von DFÜ-Netzwerkverbindungen gesichert und z.B. bei einer Neuinstallation des PCs wiederhergestellt werden. Die gespeicherten Passworte können unter Windows 2000/XP/Vista nicht gesichert werden, diese müssen nach Wiederherstellung der Verbindungen von Hand eingegeben werden.
