Quick-Drive-Info wurde geschrieben, um mit einem Blick überprüfen zu können, wie viel verbleibender Platz noch auf Datenträgern vorhanden ist. Es setzt sich in die Taskleiste direkt neben die Anzeige für die Uhrzeit, und verrichtet so seinen Dienst! Zur Übersicht des verbleibenden Platzes der Datenträger erscheint eine Leiste, die Quick-Drive-Info auf dem Desktop verankert.
Quick-Drive-Info ist eine reine 32-Bit-Applikation, und läuft daher nicht unter DOS oder Windows 3.xx. Da Quick-Drive-Info für den Betrieb mit Windows angepasst wurde, ist es nur unter Windows 95/98/Me, 2000, XP oder Windows NT 4.0 lauffähig!
